Why Do This Activity?


How to do this activity

1.With your baby lying down or in an infant seat, hold   the baby's foot up so he can see his toes.

2.While saying the following rhyme, wiggle baby's toes,   1 at a time for each line.

This Little Piggy

This little piggy went to market (Wiggle baby's big toe)

This little piggy stayed home. (Wiggle baby's second toe)

This little piggy had roast beef. (Wiggle baby's middle toe)

This little piggy had none. (Wiggle baby's second smallest toe)

And this little piggy went, wee, wee, wee, all the way home
(Creep fingers gently up baby's body to underneath chin, or tickle baby's tummy with his foot)
