Beginning in School year 2009-2010, Allen County Health Department has a nurse at each of Allen County's School facilities. These nurses take care of general illnesses, injuries, and may administer medication (prescription or non prescription) to your child at school, WITH YOUR CONSENT. It is critically important that each parent or guardian complete for each child a demographics form which includes the child's medical history, allergies, regular medications, etc. Nurses may administer medications only to children who have the appropriate paperwork completed. These forms are also distributed at each school as part of the registration packet each child recieves annually.
