We've heard it said many times that breast feeding is better for babies. Recently, even our state's government acted to protect a woman's right to nurse her baby. The Allen County Health Department along with the Kentucky Breastfeeding Coalition and WIC is encouraging women to breastfeed by the implementation of a new program called the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program. Peer Counselors are available to assist new breastfeeding moms by providing them support in the form of an actual experienced breastfeeding mom.
